It’s their first week at the beach house, and they’re finally unpacked and have stocked the kitchen with all the ingredients for quick meals and party snacks for the next few days. It’s time to take a breath and just sit down and relax and remember why we went to all of this trouble and expense to get here. Now what? After an afternoon at the beach, a quick shower and a long nap, they’re ready for the next phase of the day, which is always Cameron’s favorite: sliding into her kimono and popping a cork and grabbing her paperback novel and going outside to sit on the porch and watch the people walking back to their rented beach houses from the beach. Dinner is takeout, the sky is getting rosy with the setting sun, and the wine is chilled.
