Bailey's story:
Bailey has always loved houses. Ever since she was a little girl, she always enjoyed being driven around different neighborhoods so she could see the houses, especially after dark. She loved seeing the illuminated interiors and imagining what the occupants’ lives must be like.
Now that she is a grown woman with a family of her own, she still enjoys seeing houses, which is a good thing because she is a real estate agent and has to see a lot of houses. A lot of them, unfortunately, are in disrepair and require a lot of imagination to envision their potential. She has learned ways to distract her clients from the obvious flaws and to create a vision for what the house could be.
“Isn’t that what we all do every day?” She thinks to herself as she gets dressed. “Aren’t we all just trying to present ourselves in the best possible light and camouflage our flaws?” Today she’ll wear some black linen wide cropped pants and a white t-shirt with her new black and white kimono and heads out the door.
She can’t help but think about the house she is about to show. It’s a 100-year old bungalow that is charming, but has definitely seen better days. “Haven’t we all?” She laughs to herself as she pulls her car up in front of the house and greets her clients at the front door. Leading them into the foyer she glimpses herself in the full length beveled mirror next to the stairway and is momentarily startled, almost not recognizing herself because she looks so … well, fabulous.
Quickly recovering, she turns to her clients and with a new sense of confidence says, “Come on in. You are about to fall in love.”
