Athena's Story:
It’s a rainy day in Paris, but that’s ok, because today is a day for adjusting to the time change after a ten hour flight yesterday. Their loosely planned agenda really doesn’t begin until tomorrow.
Athena and her husband are waking up slowly in their luxurious suite at a legendary hotel on the Champs-Elysees. Their room service breakfast has just been delivered, along with the morning paper. The dark roast is hot and the croissants freshly baked and the newspaper nice and fat. They’ll be happy snuggled here in their room until the rain stops and the sun comes out this afternoon.
This is their third trip to Paris, the last one being five years ago when they came here to celebrate their wedding anniversary. They had dragged their luggage through turnstiles and up and down endless steps and across blocks of bumpy pavers. Not this time. This time it’s all about luxury; revisiting a few of their favorite spots and exploring some new ones, but at a more leisurely pace. This time they’re going to be more strategic and not leave so much up to chance.
Wrapped in her luxurious kimono, Athena slips into her black satin kitten heeled mules and steps over to the window and opens the draperies to reveal the small balcony overlooking the treelined boulevard five floors below where taxis are swishing past groups of umbrellas at each corner. She turns towards her husband, who is pouring some coffee. “Merci, my darling,” she says. “BonJour, my Love.”

This long, flowing ankle-length kimono is the most dramatic and glamorous length in our collection. Wide sleeves fall between the elbow and wrist. Fully lined, it has with deep side slits and generous front pockets providing a sleek, flattering silhouette that moves with you and wraps you in elegant ease.
Our Athena kimono robe is crafted from a Matisse inspired print paired with a graphic geometric print in black and ecru and a recycled black and white bold polka dot in cream and black. The separate belt can be worn alone, or under the open kimono, or cinching the kimono at the waist as shown.
The separate sash/belt can be worn inside or outside the garment. Or, wear it loosely around the back and tuck the untied ends in the front pockets. Or, remove the belt entirely and wear the garment open so it can move freely.
Pair it with your favorite interchangeable solid separates and dress it up or down to create a variety of looks throughout your day -- from sophisticated casual daytime looks to elegant and chic evening ensembles.
